Kindred vehicles can only be purchased online. Place your fully refundable $1,000
pre-order on our website to reserve yours.

When production is scheduled for a vehicle, pre-order customers will be asked to configure their vehicle and pay a 50% down payment to officially start the build process of their Kindred vehicle. The remaining balance of the invoiced amount is due upon delivery.

Kindred allows you to cancel at any time prior to your deposit. You will get your full $1,000 pre-order payment returned to it's original form of payment. If you decide to cancel after your 50% deposit and we are in full production, your deposit is not refundable.

Your vehicle specialist will contact you with details and scheduling as to when production will begin for your specific vehicle request.

Kindred does not offer leasing or financing.

Kindred does not negotiate our prices. We’ve worked hard to eliminate the hassle of dealerships and the unknowns of auctions. The result is a consistently excellent product with a known and standardized price.

We’re aware that vintage cars can be difficult to insure. Through our Hargerty insurance partnership, Kindred customers have the opportunity to insure their new vehicle once they have made the final deposit. If you decide to use Hagerty, Kindred offers a 1 year membership to their Drive Club.

Once pre-orders are sold out, potential customers can join a model specific waitlist. Kindred releases build slots to Kindred waitlist members on a regular basis. Once a build is made available, a waitlist member can either reserve a build slot by placing a pre-order or ask to be removed from the waitlist.

Pre-order customers have paid a fully refundable deposit for a Kindred vehicle and are officially in the queue to receive a vehicle per the Kindred pre-order agreement. Those on the waitlist are not guaranteed a vehicle but will be notified before the general public once a pre-order for their model is available.

Kindred will be adding new models to our line up every year. Sign-up for our subscriber list to stay in the loop.

Kindred does not sell parts or offer service to non-Kindred vehicles.

Kindred will introduce this option in the future but currently only offers full Kindred builds.

At this time we do not offer custom conversions for individual customer vehicles. We will be adding new models to our line up frequently so check back for availability.

Kindred offers service and repair for verified Kindred vehicles in our registry. We maintain a nationwide network of service centers and mobile technicians to handle service and warranty work.

Yes, but service by a non-Kindred service provider can void the Kindred warranty. It may be difficult to find the right provider that can service your modern Kindred power train and the vintage elements of Kindred vehicles.

Yes, Kindred offers a limited one year warranty to customers who are not part of our Founders Club. Founding members will receive a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty. Contact our service team service@kindredmotorworks.com to learn more about our warranty program.

Kindred vehicles can be charged at any charging station that support Level 1 , Level 2 and Level 3 AC charging.

Yes, Kindred vehicles have compatibility with thousands of charging stations across the US.

Every Kindred build is a curated restoration of an original vintage vehicle. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) are verified authentic and are from the original manufacturing year.

• The Kindred Ford Bronco is restored from 1966 to 1975 vehicles
• The Kindred Vintage VW Bus is from 1954 to 1967 vehicles (converted from non-21 window vehicles)
• The Kindred Chevy 3100 Pick-Up Truck is restored from 1947 to 1953 vehicles

Kindred handles all titles, taxes and registration just like a regular dealership.

Each vehicle is curated to have a mix of original and modern features. Features include: safety enhancements whenever possible, various improvements to the modern classic car design, and standard driving feature sets across all models.

Customers have the option to pick up completed Kindred vehicles at our production facility on Mare Island, CA or have your Kindred Vehicle Specialist assist in arranging for delivery at owner's expense.

Every pre-order customer is assigned a Kindred Vehicle Specialist who will assist with vehicle configuration, payment processing and scheduling.

Kindred vehicles are automatically entered into the Kindred Registry upon delivery. Our registry provides the provenance necessary to ensure your car is an authentic Kindred vehicle. Only registered Kindred vehicles have access to our community, insurance and service programs.

Contact your Kindred Vehicle Specialist to update the Kindred registry.

Kindred will update our registry with new ownership information with evidence of a sales transaction. The new owner will be eligible for our community, insurance and service programs.
